Russia to keep grain harvest, export flat on year in 2016
MOSCOW, Feb 5 (PRIME) -- Russia’s harvest and exports of grain are likely to be flat on the year in 2016, or at 104 and 20.5 million tonnes respectively, Agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachyov told PRIME on Friday.
The Russian government has not made a final decision on whether to adjust or cancel a wheat export duty yet, Tkachyov said separately.
“A decision has not been made yet,” he said.
Russia imposed a wheat export duty on July 1, which is measured as 50% of the price minus 6,500 rubles per tonne, but at least 10 rubles.
